Within major international collaborative projects, theoretical
calculations are carried out, using quantum field theory methods, in
support of precision experiments in hadron and particle physics, e.g.
with regard to flavour physics, neutrino physics, dark matter and the
early universe. These include "first principles" calculations on the
strong interaction between quarks and gluons on supercomputers, which
are partly developed in-house, as well as the invention and implementation of suitable methods.
